Dr. J. Scott Hendrix is a life-long resident of Vincennes, Indiana. Upon graduation from Vincennes Lincoln High School, Dr. Hendrix attended Vincennes University and received his A.S. degree in pre-optometry. He attended Indiana University’s School of Optometry in Bloomington, Indiana, and received his Doctorate of Optometry in 1980.
After his college graduation, Dr. Hendrix returned to Vincennes, Indiana, and joined his father and two brothers in their family optometric practice. Dr. Hendrix and his wife, Carla, are the proud parents of two children. Their son, Matthew, is a computer engineer in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Megan, their daughter, is married to Travis Linneweber of Vincennes, Indiana. Megan and Travis reside in Washington, Indiana, along with their two children Grayson and Lauren.
When he is not practicing optometry, Dr. Hendrix enjoys biking, playing golf, and watching any IU sporting event.
Dr. N. Rhett Baker is a native of Wheatland, Indiana, and South Knox High School graduate. He graduated from Vincennes University with an A.S. degree in pre-optometry. Dr. Baker then attended Indiana University where he earned a B.S. degree and Doctorate of Optometry from the Indiana University School of Optometry in 1999. He completed clinical internships at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi, and ocular disease referral centers Bennett and Bloom Eye Centers in Louisville, Kentucky, and Aran Eye Associates in Miami, Florida.
Dr. Baker and his wife, Delaney, along with their sons Pender and Carver, reside in rural Vincennes. In his free time, Dr. Baker enjoys running, skiing, scuba diving, traveling, and Cardinals baseball games.
Dr. Eli B. Hendrix IV was born and raised in Vincennes, Indiana. He graduated from Vincennes Lincoln High School. Dr. Hendrix received his B.S. degree and his Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Indiana University School of Optometry. He completed external clinical rotations at Atwater and Community Eye Care Centers in Bloomington, Indiana, Richmond Eye Care Center in Richmond, Indiana, Indianapolis Eye Care Center in Indianapolis, Indiana, and Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Hendrix practiced in Texas for 2 years as a Glaucoma Specialist and Therapeutic Optometrist.
In his spare time, Dr. Hendrix enjoys all sports. His favorite sports include golf, tennis, table tennis, and basketball. He enjoys playing the guitar and banjo. He loves to support his favorite teams-the Indiana Hoosiers and the Dallas Cowboys.
Dr. John W. DeCoursey is a native of Oaktown, Indiana, and graduated from North Knox High School. He then attended Vincennes University and received an A.S. degree in pre-optometry. Dr. DeCoursey continued his education at Indiana University and received a B.S. degree in history. He then returned to Vincennes University and received an RN degree. After working as an RN, Dr. DeCoursey attended Indiana University and attained his Doctorate of Optometry in 2009. Dr. DeCoursey completed his external clinical experience at Indianapolis Eye Care Center, the School of Optometry Clinics in Bloomington, Indiana, Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis, and Eye Care Consultants in Evansville, Indiana.
Prior to becoming an optometrist, Dr. DeCoursey worked as a historic interpreter at the Vincennes State Historic Sites and as an RN in intermediate and intensive care at Good Samaritan Hospital. Dr. DeCoursey and his wife, Deanna, live in Bicknell, Indiana, with their two sons Jonathan and Dylan. In his free time, Dr. DeCoursey enjoys hunting for Indian artifacts, target shooting, bike riding, reading, and watching Colts football and IU basketball.
Dr. Ryan Kluemper
Dr. Ryan Kluemper was born in Jasper, IN and graduated from Jasper High School in 2000 and attended Indiana University, graduating from the IU School of Optometry in 2007. He completed his externships at Atwater Eye Care Center in Bloomington, IN; Indianapolis Eye Care Center in Indianapolis, IN; Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX; and Muncie Eye Center in Muncie, IN.
After graduation he worked in Angola, IN from 2007-2011.
He moved back to Dubois County in 2012 after meeting his wife.
Dr. Kluemper currently lives in Jasper with his wife, Andrea, and two children, Jack and Savannah. In his free time, Dr. Kluemper enjoys golfing, bowling, bike rides, and spending time with his wife and kids.
Dr. Isaac Schunk
Dr. Isaac Schunk is a native of Greene County graduating locally from White River Valley High School. Dr. Schunk received his B.S. degree in Biochemistry from Indiana University and his Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University School of Optometry. Dr. Schunk completed his external clinical experience at Indianapolis Eye Care Center, the School of Optometry Clinics in Bloomington, Indiana, Ireland Army community Hospital Ft. Knox, KY, and John-Kenyon eye institute. In 2010, after completing his doctoral studies, Dr.Schunk joined the United States Army. While on active duty, Dr.Schunk was repeatedly recognized for his outstanding performance as a solider and clinician during his tenure at Ft. Campbell. Having fulfilled his terms of service, Dr.Schunk is thrilled and eager to be able to return and provide outstanding optometric care to the area he considers home.
Dr.Schunk currently lives in Jasonville, IN with his wife Bethany and their three children, Andrew, Joshua and Levi. In his free time, Dr.Schunk enjoys gardening, hunting, beekeeping and spending time with his wife and three children.
